Empowering people to lead happier, healthier lives through participating in music.

Welcome to Musical Connections

We run participatory music sessions and projects for older, isolated and vulnerable people in care and community settings across York. We also run a large programme of intergenerational events and activities, which bring together our beneficiaries with local schoolchildren and students. We provide free transport for anyone who needs it, and are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Christmas MEG Party!

We kicked off Christmas this week, with students from the University of York.

Check out the video below for all of the highlights!

MC Reaching For The Stars!

Get ready to Reach for the Stars with our latest collaborative recording! This included all of our groups, and our intergenerational partners including university students, charities & schools! It really shows how many people we work with and how much fun we have!

We are hugely grateful to the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery, who recently granted us £15,000 to enable us to help more vulnerable older people in York to get involved in musical activities with their wider community.

Musical Connections is a registered charity number 1165993.
